Jose Alvarez
A Jose Alvarez frame is the result of 60 years of experience in eyewear design and manufacturing. Each model is produced in limited batches of 50 to 100 units following a production process consisting of more than 300 manual steps.
MATERIALS
The acetate comes from a special series of acetates that avoid most of the contaminating solvents used in conventional processes. The metal is an alloy of Titanium and Stainless steel with exceptional mechanical properties made possible by its quasicrystalline structure, which was awarded the 2011 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Some models are also available in 95% pure Magnesium, which is 2.5 times lighter than Titanium.
WEIGHT
If the weight of each frame is printed on the temples, it is because its weight is extremely light. Materials are selected and processed to reduce the weight of each piece. Light weight is the key to eyewear comfort
